Not much of a fight you say. Google VS Bing. C’mon, it’s Google and no one can take down the champ, right? Not if Bing has anything to say about it.
The Bing Dilemma
Pretty self explanatory here, but I’ll say it anyways. How in the world do we take a share of the Google pie? The reality of the situation is that Internet surfers are, by habit, Google users through and through. I mean, if it ain’t broke…don’t fix it right? I mean, I go to Google to get to Bing!
Bing’s Answer
Microsoft’s Bing has been adding a ton of features lately to try and compete with search giant Google. But is it really enough? It would appear to Microsoft anyway, that adding features which Google does not have will boost their online presence. They tout completing tasks for users online rather than just finding sites for us to peruse.
Bing’s New Features
The biggest addition to Bing, is the Facebook like button.
“One new feature aimed at social media fans is the option to rank search results based on what a Bing user’s friends have “liked” on Facebook”. –LA Times
According to Business Insider, Bing has an exclusive deal with Facebook…which surprise me. Does Zuckerberg know something we don’t? Or as it seems he is competing with Google and knows this may dominate the web totally by teaming up with Bing.
Bing has not fully capitalized on the Facebook integration as of yet, but with 100 million people clicking the “like” button everyday….they are headed in the right direction.
There is also documented evidence that Internet users are more likely to take the suggestions of friends rather than a search engine for relevant information.

No doubt google is better than bing. I am not telling that bing is bad, i am saying that bing is not good as google.

This is so true about Google. It is hard to get a human to answer concerns or questions. I have yet to try Bing for PPC, but I too have heard they are much more reasonable.

At least in one area, Bing is vastly superior to Google, and that is in customer service to PPC advertisers. If you are launching a product or service that can support the high cost of PPC advertising, I would definitely recommend testing first with Bing. They actually answer phone calls and provide useful assistance. Importantly, Bing's cost per click is much lower. And if your program pays out on Bing and you want more traffic, expanding the program to Google's Adwords is an option. But don't expect any customer service from Google unless you have a huge budget.

Bing has been clever by affiliating themselves with facebook, but do you think this will spell the end of yahoo.
bing is not serious in their search engine mechanism… they will more years to take google down…

I think Google is still King, but Bing is a lot of people's default search without them even realizing it, especially on new PC's. We all know Facebook is setting up to compete with Google in some way or another and it sounds like this a good feature for Bing to use with Facebook. I agree with the comment that I would take a friends referral over a Search Engines Referral. Personal Referral can't be beat.
The problem is Google has hired the smartest engineers in the world, so Bing will be trying to catch up for many more years to come!
