According to TubeMogul, Facebook has taken over Yahoo (no surprise there) and has doubled it’s referral traffic in the last quarter. Where Google, Yahoo and Bing all fell in the third quarter, Facebook again showed it’s competitive edge. Pretty impressive for a social network whereas the rest are all search engines.

How To Use Video To Increase Facebook Fans

Assuming you have set up your business (fan) page on Facebook, this simple method could help you generate more of those almighty “likes.” Using the knowledge that FB video traffic is constantly growing, you can utilize this on your page and your website to make this work for you.

Whether you create your own video content or use a video from YouTube, you can increase your fan base easily. Simply upload your niche video onto your fan page. Then, grab the embed source code from the video and place it on your blog.

A note on selecting videos from YouTube: try and find videos with some of your keywords in the title. Also, choose a video that has a lot of RECENT hits. The easiest way to check this is by looking at the comment section of the video. If the last comment was 8 months ago, it’s likely most of the hits generated were that long ago.
