So the last post I wrote about how to join Google+ has gotten quite the response. I am excited about the endless possibilities of Google+ and I realize many people want in on the ground floor of this social media frenzy.
How To Join Google+: Part 2
So, after all the feedback and invite requests from that previous post; I have decided to open up my Google+ to the loyal readers of The friendly Blogger. Now, I don’t know how many invites I will be able to send before it gets shut out again, but I am going to do my best to accommodate everyone.
I am still playing around with my Google+ profile and learning all the different functionality available, but hey…it’s more fun with a group right?!
So far, I have got my name and photo attached to my Google+ profile. Yippeee!!!! Small steps to success count too. 🙂
So, what I am going to do is the following. If you have not yet gotten an invite to Google+ yet, follow these rules below to get one from me!
- Leave a comment on this post as to why you want to join Google+.
- Then, leave me your email address in the comment as well.
- I will do my best over the next couple of days to send out invites to those of you who are NOT spammers.
- I would get a gravatar account so that you don’t get sent to the spam box. 🙂
Now, this last one is not a necessity, but oh boy would I love it if you would share this post either via Twitter or Facebook. Again, not a rule, just a request 🙂
When I send out the invites, be sure to create your Google+ profile and come and say hello to me!!!

I have been a Google user since their beginning. I use Google Groups, Docs, Sites, etc. I have requested to join directly from Google several times…
Although I am listed on FaceBook, I don’t use it or Twitter. I am hoping that Google+ will be secure first, then social last.

Hi, I am from Czech Republic and I’m not really sure if it’s possible for me to get an invitation, because of so small amount of people around here who could be aware of g+. I don’t have a fb account, because I don’t fancy that everyone around here is crazy about it 7 years after it started and I knew it was about time when something more suitable will come up. I have been trying to find a way, for a little while now, to get an invite into the world of G+. I have been using FB for several years and becoming increasingly dissatisfied with it and looking at new social sites. I run 3 home based businesses, and have a gaggle of people from high school (every time I turn around there are more peeps from high school I am not even sure of who they are. I love the Google platforms and run several different google apps on my phone and home computer.
I would love to give G+ a shot and perhaps retire from FB!

I am an avid FB user, I love YouTube and Gmail all the same and I stand-by google search.
Google wants to play a pivotal role in people’s lives – the way we are connecting on the internet, the way we shall be paying for transactions – and so I look forward to the convergence of all these capabilities.
I think that Google+ shall provide that first sneak peek.

Lisa – It may help with getting approved for G+ faster if your readers add links when editing their Google profiles that connect to their profile pages on other sites. It seemed to work for me, but it may just have been coincidental.

I was on vacation high in the mountains when G+ came out – so missed the initial invite process. I teach web design at a small design college, and I wrote my dissertation about social networking as learning tools – I need to keep up with all the new tools so I can better inform my students about how they can use them for learning, collaborating, etc.

Well to be honest I really don’t have any great reason to be invited other than the fact that I’ve been wanting to play with Google+ since I read Google’s blog post about it’s release. Several of the Google+ tools really intrigue me, especially the Hangout one. I’ll send out some invites of my own if I can to my friends on Facebook so I can get some use out of it.
