link bait, best link bait, best of best blogsI read an article one time that stated linking to other people’s hot toddy posts was the best link bait out there. And guess what? Like many of us do, I read it and never implemented it. Until now……..

What Is Link Bait?

Without any scientific and drawn out explanations, I answer your question of, what is link bait? Plain and simple, it is a post you create that entices readers with the mere thought THEY might be included. Those people will in turn WANT to link to your post. It’s also a sure fire way to get your face in front of people who have never heard of you.

I know right…how could anyone not have heard about you??!!

Easy right? HA.,..you need to ensure your link bait article is worthy my friends. Don’t just grab any old link to a post and throw it up. It could be a post about grass growing in the left hand corner of a rectangular yard. EW..bored already. 🙂

So, without further adieu…..I give to you, what I feel are the best of the best posts to last for all time. Many people will do best of the month or year…..but I like to rebel. I think these are some of the greatest posts that will stand the test of time and ALWAYS be of use.

Well there you have it. My pick of the top 20 immortal blog posts. Some are more recent, while others date back to the ice age of 2006. See?? Stands the test of time.

So my question for you is, have YOU written a post you believe will stand the test of time? Something your great great great grand kids will find on the first page of Google? 😉

  • You would go and share even more awesome content for me to check out! LOL!! Okay, have heard of a few of these people while not others. But you know my curiosity will get the best of me and I’ll have to go and read every single one of these.

    And my answer to your question of do I have one that will stand out and survive the test of time. Not yet but I will!!! Ah ha! We can look back and say wow, 2011.. That’s an ancient post! 🙂

  • My goodness Lisa. I spent a few hours going through these posts, finding more links that took me to other posts with links, that took me to even more posts with……well, you get the idea. By the time I was done, I found myself subscribing to blogs I didn’t even know about.

  • Ever? What about every one……I’ll bet I was 21 wasn’t I; that’s ok, the other 20 were deserving and I know some of them and their feeling would have been hurt not to be included.

    And at first I thought you were talking about stink bait that only a good southern boy would know about; but your sure can catch some catfish with it…………..and it do stink……:)

    Some of those posts I have seen; I will have to go check the others out.

    Now as far as linkbait, I don’t even know if I can put it on my blog site or if I could what I should link it to. However, one of these days I do want to be able to have a way for people to link to my blogger friends for whatever that’s worth.

    Doesn’t mean much when only your mother and that creepy guy who uses the library computer comments on your post though…………

      • I’m starting to believe that Dino is not human. Not only does he know everyone in the twitterverse and the blogosphere, but everytime I go to a blog post that I want to comment on….he’s already bloody there.

        How does he do it? Has he cloned a version of himself that is chained in the basement with a clone of Dan – and they don’t get food or water unless they post 50 Blog Comments an hour.

          Now this made me laugh!! I have often wondered where Dino finds the time. Besides putting out rock star content, he is ALWAYS available to answer questions. And then, to boot….here comes Triberr! One time I even saw a video of him doing oush ups (ridiculous amounts might I add) 🙂

          It’s like that Russian guy from the Rocky movie! Super human and I believe he checked off that humn species box as a ploy to deter us from the truth!!!
